Nordic Pediatric Ophthalmology Group and Nord
NPOG-NSA 2025 kokous on joka toinen vuosi toteutuva pohjoismainen silmätautien alan kokous, joka käsittelee lasten silmäsairauksia ja karsastusta. Kokous on suunnattu lasten silmätauteihin ja karsastuksen hoitoon perehtyneille silmätautien erikoislääkäreille ja silmätauteihin erikoistuville lääkäreille sekä moniammatillisesti alalla toimiville optometristeille, ortoptisteille ja silmäsairaanhoitajille. Tämä pohjoismainen kokous on pidetty jo 80-luvulta lähtien, ja se on luonut sekä tieteellistä tutkimusta että kliinistä työtä tukevan yhteistyöfoorumin. Nuorille tutkijoille se tarjoaa matalalla kynnyksellä mahdollisuuden esittää omia tutkimustuloksiaan. Kokouksien kliinisenä tavoitteena on tyypillisesti ollut luoda yhteisiä ohjeistuksia ja toimintamalleja ajankohtaisissa lasten silmäsairauksissa ja karsastuksen hoidossa. Vuoden 2025 teemana on mm. maailmanlaajuiseksi ongelmaksi tunnistetun likitaittoisuuden lisääntymisen tilanne pohjoismaisissa väestöissä, sen hoidon tarve ja mahdollisuudet.
